I’ve grown up a fourth generation craftsman. By learning from my grandpa and father I was able to learn a lot of different skills and learned how to work hard. 

I fought my way through high school. I understand when kids say they struggle through school. When you can’t fit in you look to find other ways to fit in. It's not always pleasant. In wood shop, I was able to fit in and be myself. I got to fit in by making something. My teacher, Mr. Arnold had taught me skill that I could not live without. After high school I took several jobs seeing where I could fit in best. As I worked different jobs I knew I wanted to start something of my own. 
As I started Nokes Builders I wanted to focus on residential remodeling, building and custom woodworking. And that is what we do to this day!
